Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

It’s crazy to think how many bosses there are in Dark Souls 2. I don’t even remember many of them fighting because they were incredibly easy to beat. There were also such patterns that I spent a lot of time studying their movements because they were very difficult to control. Several times during the game, I really thought about leaving because some of the bosses were so boring.

Many Dark Souls 2 patterns are memorable because they had a particular attack or exercise that was different from all the others. Of all the Dark Soul games, this is the one I think is the hardest because of all the leaders you’re up against.

Don’t let many bosses stop you from playing Dark Souls 2. Anyone who plays one of the other Dark Soul games must go through this game at least once. If you have a problem with Dark Souls 2, take a look at this guide I found here on the Amazon.

Looks like : DS2 guide for beginners

Here are all patterns of Dark Souls 2 classified by difficulty level

40. Male skeleton

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

When I walked into his boss’ arena, I thought it was going to be a very tough fight. When I fought her, I realized how easy it was for her to win. Basically all you have to do is beat all the skeletons in the room and the boss’s fight is over. I didn’t expect victory to be so easy.

Interesting fact – The old Iron King had all the undead captured and led his best men on the hunt for the undead. Imprisoned undead were thrown into cells built in a forest known as Huntsman’s Cops. These poor souls were mercilessly tortured and killed and eventually turned into skeletons. Those responsible for surrounding the undead were defeated by the curse itself, and the ravages of time have blurred any distinction between prisoners and inmates.

39. Last giant

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

The last Giant was again one of those bosses we find hard, but if you understand how he moves, you can easily beat him. What makes the boss’s fight particularly scary is the way he ripped off his hand and used it as a weapon against the player. He has few attacks, and everything can be avoided with a simple throw.

Interesting fact – The last giant is the only survivor of the Cardinal’s siege of the Tower. He is the beaten and broken ashes of an immense lord who once brought anger and destruction to the entire kingdom of Dranglick.

38. Dragonlord

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

The draconian is a fairly simple boss if you decide to expand your boss’s arena. Before you fight him, there are secret levers, the only way to activate them is to kill your guards. There are a total of 3 levers you have to pull for his arena boss to finally be able to fight him easily. If you hurry to the boss, you only have one small platform to fight him.

Interesting fact – The dragon warriors were the royal guard of King Wendrick. Together with the king they helped to find Dranglick, crushed the former inhabitants and built a kingdom on their graves.

37. Flexible Clock

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Flexic Sentinel is a very strange boss to fight because of his looks and the arena of the boss. The arena is at the bottom of the ship with some water on the ground and it looks like 2 people are tied together. He’s got a gun in each hand, and he attacks very slowly. Anyway, this boss is very easy to win.

Interesting fact – The Flexible Guardian is an unscrupulous creature designed to punish the undead. After describing his actions, he seemed to fulfil the role of an executioner or someone who could destroy the undead. For this she pushed the prisoners of the lost Bastille on a ramshackle boat and threw them into the open sea.

36. Nike Scorpion

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

She is probably one of the strangest patterns in Dark Souls 2, because she is literally a giant female scorpion. She keeps jumping on you and digging under the sand where the arena is. Scorpio’s not a tough boss, but he’s certainly a catchy man.

Interesting fact – Nike was born from the transgressions of an ancient creature. She and Manscorpion Tark had a master who created them both a long time ago, so long ago that no one today remembers when they were born and where their master went.

35. Stalker

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

A stalker is a boss who’s tougher than you think. When you walk through that foggy door, the first thing you see is a huge knight floating with bright eyes and holding a big sword. What I didn’t realize was that if you were in the right place, you could kill him with a ballista in his boss’s arena.

Interesting fact – Stalkers can’t hover He can’t fly because one of the stalkers uses an eagle to carry him from place to place.

34. Germinating magician and congregation

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

This boss is really a strange boss, because he’s just the leader of a small community of dead people. I died several times in front of this boss, but frankly, I had to give him a chance. The only thing that killed me was the number of enemies in the room during the fight.

An interesting fact is that This congregation consists of the torn remains of the Celdores who survived in the bay, that the priests healed them and cared for them, and that the Kings of the Rebels led these vulnerable people and perhaps sought or sucked their souls, or perhaps tried to find salvation by helping them.

33. Myth, evil queen

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Myth, the sinister queen is difficult for one reason and only one reason. She’s tough because of the poison that covers the floor of her boss’s arena. The way to get rid of the poison is to burn a windmill near a fire that carries the poison directly from the arena.

An interesting fact – The myth has become obsessed with the idea of giving back the love of his king through his own beauty. He tried by all means, even self poisoning.

32. Observation of the Destroyer

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

If you fight these guys, you have to be careful, because if they all jump on the platform, they could kill you. I don’t think destroying the guards is that complicated, but others can’t agree. Use a weapon that attacks quickly, because you have to kill them quickly.

Interesting fact – Destroyers are creations of the jailer. They have no tangible form and are just an empty soul hunting for armor.

31. Royal Rat Vanguard

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

This boss almost starts like you’re not fighting him at all. You walk into a room, and then a bunch of rats come at you. After beating a few of them, the boss finally comes out. It is actually as simple as other rats, but with other rats attacking at the same time, this challenge can be met. The rat is a very nasty enemy in the Dark Souls series, but this boss fight is nothing compared to the boss fight later in the game.

Interesting fact – Royal Vanguard Rats look a lot like their hunting brothers, except that their eyes are yellow, the fur of a hawk mole is more pronounced and their ears are bigger.

30. Great Lord

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

The Lord of Giants is essentially the same fight as the Last Giant, except he didn’t fight you with his hand. I don’t want to ruin anything, but where you’re fighting is a very cool area and part of the main plot. But don’t stay too long. Don’t be fooled by its enormous size, because in this kind of game the rule is: the more opponents there are, the easier it is to win.

An interesting fact – The Giant Lord was killed by an unknown warrior. Then his beaten and broken remains were dragged under the Great Fortress, where he was tied up and chained.

29. Insidious Demon

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

A desirable demon is a large, ugly animal that usually uses its body to attack you. His worst attack is when he plunges on you and does a lot of damage because he’s too big. If you remember his attacks, he’s not a tough guy at all. Try to kill it fast, because the attacks are very fast and it can easily fire a shot if you make a wrong move.

An interesting fact – The fate of the man who became a cunning demon is not clear. In the lower garrison of Eleum Lois there is also the white demon Covetous.

28. Lost rowing machine

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

The Lost Sinner is the lightest of the 4 primitive fire chefs, and it is also a very entertaining battle. He has a wide range of movements, from orcs to jumps. After the defeat you will receive a special soul, which will give you even more souls to improve your goals and light a primitive fire.

Interesting fact – The lost sinner did what some believe in the last sin; he tried to light the first flame. At the time, she was put in jail and chained.

27. Dragon Watch

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Dragon Guardian is a very entertaining fight with the boss, because it is the first dragon boss in Dark Souls 2. What makes fighting cool is the arena in a huge cage where the dragon is kept. He’s not that hard on the boss, but he can be a problem if certain weapons are used, such as magic weapons. But seriously, that boss was pretty tough.

Interesting fact – In case of defeat, the spirit of the dragon falls. It can be exchanged for Ornifex, both Spitfire lance and ultra wide Drakewing sword.

26. Demon songs

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

He’s the strangest boss of all dark souls to me because he’s so ugly and weird. His attacks are very different, and you can only attack him if he opens his flap in the face. He reminds me of a giant frog because he jumps into the boss’s arena. You’re sometimes vulnerable to the attacks of greed, but it’s best to be patient.

Interesting fact – When the demon’s song developed a taste for human flesh, it was kept in the temple of Amana. A line of priestesses was set up to take care of the temple and soothe the demon with sacred rituals, but since then they have become extinct or disappeared, and over time the tradition was lost and the demon was freed.

25. Rotten

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

I had a lot of problems with Rotten. His attacks seem to hurt me, even though he didn’t hit me, and his movements are a bit clumsy. It also does a lot of damage when you’re hit by a special attack, not to mention the lava pools all over the arena where you fight it. His body consists of corpses that have been assembled into a large monster, with a giant axe in his hand.

An interesting fact – The rotting seems to have started with the undead, trapped in one of the many iron cells found in Dranglick and held together by chains.

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

That boss really pissed me off when I first ran into him. What makes the boss tough are the 4 little rats fighting with the huge rat, and worse, the little rats make a poisonous structure on the player. If you don’t kill four rats before the fight starts, you’re in trouble. The first rat you hit, you’re dead.

Interesting fact – Those who choose to serve the King of Rats must have the courage to fight the royal power of the rats in battle. When someone wins the Royal Rat Power, he or she gets the Rat Tail and thus the right to serve under the Rat Queen.

23. Elana, Queen of Skills.

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

She’s the first DLC director on my list, and I’m glad she’s higher on my list. She’s not as tough as The Boss because her attacks are slow, but they fall under a lot of damage if you hit her with one of them. Honestly, I don’t remember much about the boss’s fight, only that it was very easy for me to beat her. Although she still poses a major threat to everyone.

Interesting fact – It is not exactly known how Elana became queen, but it is likely that she, like other fragments of the Manus, took shape and came to be the Envelope King.

22. Old Iron King

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Another of the primitive fire commanders is the old Iron King. In fact, I was very disappointed with the fight because it was so easy to win. The only threat is a lava well that you can touch and if you are shot, you will be shot with a stone. To defeat him, all you have to do is wait until he hits the ground and then attack his hands.

Interesting fact – This living fire that Eigil created began to multiply. The fire charred the royal flesh and took possession of his soul. The fire that was thrown out of the earth and the king’s body became a vessel that gave birth to the troublesome earth, the blood of the earth (lava).

21. Transport of the executioner

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

This battle of the bosses is one of those battles that are more boring than fun. Usually you run down the corridor and hit a bunch of skeletons. Then you’ll have to fight the horses that pull the cart. It’s a pretty tough fight if you don’t know when to run to the next room, because if you get hit by a tank, you’re practically dead.

Interesting fact – The executioner was set up by the old Iron King or one of his subjects for the sole purpose of torturing the undead with impunity and without mercy.

20. Gargoyle Bell tower

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

I really like this boss because he’s the same as the one in the Dark Souls version. They climb to the roof and fight the gargoyle as usual, and 30 seconds later the second one appears. You have to make sure you beat the first gargoyle before the second one comes out, otherwise you’ll get in trouble. It feels like déjà vu when you fight them because of the first game of the previous game.

An interesting fact – The Gargulans were sentinels created by the ancient gods Anor Londo. Interestingly, some of the gargoyle statues from the royal treasure of Schloss Dranglich are in the same room as the Dragon Duo.

19. World City, King’s Oath

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Veldstadt is a guardian who protects King Wendrick while he is in his holy state. It is a huge knight with a giant hammer that has the ability to make copies of himself to fight the player. He’s the first boss I’ve ever been able to beat really hard just because the fight was really tough. His attacks really hurt you, and for a man in heavy armor, he’s pretty fast.

An interesting fact – Welstadt is a particularly interesting character because of its ecclesiastical characteristics. His armor is imbued with the power of miracles, while his weapons carry a powerful blessing and are considered sacred.

18. Old dragon gunner

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Old Sagittarius, the armor that Ornstein Archer wore in the Dark Souls, is a very entertaining battle. His movements are exactly the same as those of his predecessor, and he is just as intelligent as Ornstein. Some people think it’s Ornstein’s dragon slayer, but many researchers have proven it’s a lie.

Interesting fact – The gunman guards a cathedral like Ornstein. This indicates a thematic agreement, as opposed to the fact that the same person simply does the same thing all his or her life.

17. Dear Duchess Freya

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

This combat leader has the most boring escape option of any other leader in the game, with the exception of Rotten. You literally have to go through a huge room with lots of spiders, but also a huge web with lots of enemies inside. The fight against the boss himself is also very boring, because you can only damage a huge spider front and back. He’ll shoot you with lasers, too.

An interesting fact – Dear Duchess Freya – a giant parasitic spider with two heads on either side of the body. Freya was also the Duke of Zeldor’s pet after his creation.

16. Mr. Alon

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Sir Alon is another one of those battles where you have to fight another man in armour. There is nothing to say about this boss, except that his attacks are very quick and that he is a very tough boss. You can get rid of your boss’s coins by killing all your enemies 12 times. This makes it easier for the bosses to enter the arena without losing the health and bottles of Estus.

An interesting fact – Sir Alon came from an Eastern country and decided to serve a little known and unconfirmed Lord. He became the Lord’s most trusted knight and helped him become the old Iron King.

15. Darkness

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

This pattern was modelled after the Four Kings of the Dark Souls and was easily defeated. With the right weapons and miracles it is easy to beat, but for many it is a challenge. It starts in a dark room, and one of them reproduces, after a while another reproduces, and so on. He imitates the patron saint of the four kings, especially in every sense of the word.

Interesting fact – Darklurker is capable of various forms of magic, teleportation and self-cloning. He can throw shells out of the pure darkness, create big dark words, become invisible and let the player follow with fireballs.

14. Knight of glass

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

In my opinion this boss is my favorite boss in Dark Souls 2 because they have set up something that no other boss in the Dark Souls series, except one in Dark Souls 3, has. He has the ability to summon other players as ghosts to help you fight against you. The fight is balanced and very pleasant. Not to mention the fact that he’s not a tough boss, but a tough boss is always the funniest.

An interesting fact – The Lieutenant of King Wendrick, charged with testing the courage of those who wish to serve in the Order of the Royal Knights of Dranglick Always dedicated to his duty, he waited for suitors long after Wendrick’s death and the subsequent collapse of the kingdom.

13. Old Dragon

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

The Old Dragon is the same Old Dragon I fought against for a long time because I didn’t know how to approach him. Running to the dragon is very easy if you extinguish all the dragons, because the dragon knights won’t even touch you. The fight against the boss is very difficult, because he has the highest health bar of all the bosses in the Dark Souls series. Once you’ve worked out a strategy to defeat him, it’s a piece of cake.

Interesting fact – The ancient dragon originated, probably because dragons were considered a possible cure for the curse.

12. Suffering gravedigger, former soldier Varg and Sera Former explorer

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Now we get to the really tough bosses. Those 3 NPC’s you have to beat to get real credit for the boss are very difficult. One of the easiest ways to beat them is to go into the water and share them to make it easier to fight them. They can all be poisoned and bleeding, so use them in battle.

Interesting fact – There is no description of the subject or dialogue for these three warriors. From their worn-out objects and armour we can deduce that they were all grave robbers who came to the flooded kingdom in search of treasure.

11. Demon smelter

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Yeah, this boss is really annoying. He hits you constantly with his flaming sword and always increases his damage. Not to mention the miniature arena of his bosses, who only need one shot to reach the other side. Moreover, even the attempt to reach it through the iron camp can be a nightmare. When you get to this boss, make sure you kick his ass.

Interesting fact – The Fusion Demon is a mass of iron that has been given a soul. When old Iron King got the power to bring piles of iron to life, he threw a bunch of metal machines.

10. Fused Demon (Iron Current)

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

The Iron Transit Demon is the same as a normal foundry demon, but the color is blue. It can jump in the air and launch an AoE attack that can do you a lot of damage. Luckily the boss’ arena is a bit bigger, but that doesn’t make the fight any easier. Be thankful you can come when you can. Try to find the right moment.

Interesting fact – Since the former Iron Crown CSD does not appear to have been established before the great events of Dark Souls 2, it is more likely that the two Melting Demons are contemporary.

9. Aava, Royal Pets.

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Finally, the boss of the DLC, who actually justifies his name. This boss is very difficult, because he’s a snow tiger with magic. He shoots ice cubes at a player and the boss’ arena is covered with snow. The best thing a player can do is have a good shield, because he attacks quickly and it’s good to have a good defense.

Interesting fact – Aava turns out to be a tiger with sabre teeth. It was one of the seven animals that served the ivory king. It was the custody of the Dark King’s beloved child.

8. Xin, thin dragon.

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

This is another very hard dragon battle, but not for the same reasons as the others. The hardest part is that it destroys every weapon you try to hit it with. The best weapon to defeat is Santiera’s spear, which has almost no power and can last a very long time. He also has a poisonous breath that can easily knock your health bar off your feet if it gets stuck in the cloud. If you beat him, you get 1 in 3 crowns.

Interesting fact – As the player approaches the city, Xin again worries about his dream and returns to his sanctuary where he expects his next challenger.

7. Aldia, student of the first sin

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

He’s a very interesting boss because he only stays in one place. What makes it difficult is to know how to get about 1 to 2 strokes before the lava begins to reproduce around them. In fact, it is very useful to use arson or arches to get extra damage when dodging attacks. Remember that the only way to fight him is to talk to him three times in the primitive temple of fire and dragon.

Interesting fact – Lord Aldia is the elder brother of King Wendrick. He helped his brother found the kingdom of Dranglick, but then retreated to his estate in search of the secrets of life and eventually became a giant drop of flesh and fire.

6. People, Royal Pets and Salmon, Royal Pets.

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

This boss fight is the same as Avaa’s, but instead of fighting 1 Tiger, you fight 2 at the same time. Both use magic to harm the player, and both are very agile creatures. The strategy to defeat them is to wait for them to make a magical attack and then score a few hits. Watch out for the others if you’re looking for one of them. Try to keep an eye on both of them.

An interesting fact is that Mude and Will were two of the seven animals that served the ivory king. They were accused of killing exiles out of mercy.

5. Wendrick

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Wendrick is completely voluntary if you want to beat him. The first time you try to beat him, you’ll discover how little you’ve hurt him. When you die, you figure out how to beat it. Well, that’s easy. All you have to do is collect the 5 souls of the giant, and that will reduce his protection to what will be the protection of the normal boss. Even then, the fight is still hard.

Interesting fact – By the time the player finds it, Wendrick is already completely empty. But he still wears the royal crown and the prince’s sword.

4. Trunk and protection

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Those two were my downfall when it almost ended in victory. I can’t tell you how many times I fought with those two and learned something about them. The more I fought them, the less I felt like I was dying. In the end I killed them and congratulated myself on the victory, until I found out that these two had won the first race of the bosses, three in a row.

Interesting fact – You say the defender and the observer are waiting for something. Judging by their roles and positions, it is very likely that they are waiting for someone strong enough to ascend the throne, and have been standing beside it for centuries.

3. Nashandra

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Nashandra was my least favorite boss in the main game, all because of those damn fountains. I never figured out how to protect myself from death for them. Every time I tried to destroy it, I died. Not to mention the giant skeleton woman you’re trying to kill. Let’s just say that when I finally hit him, my chair was destroyed.

An interesting fact is that Nashandra was born out of darkness with an insatiable lust for power. It was the smallest of Manus’ shards. It is thanks to its size that this piece was the first to get back in shape.

2. The king of burning ivory

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

And these are the two strongest bosses in all of Dark Souls 2. The king of burning ivory is very difficult because he attacks with his sword. It does this spinning attack where the crystals come out of the ground and damage you when it hits the ground. One could say that his movements were almost the same as those of the knight Artorius of the Dark Souls. If you beat him, you’ll get a second crown.

Interesting fact – The king of Ivory was once the highest knight of Forossa. He had the reputation of being proud and always merciful and being the first to wield the sword at the right moment.

1. Knights of the Smoke

Dark Souls Two Bosses Ranked by Difficulty

The source: Coincidence Wiki

Fume Knight is considered one of the most difficult bosses in the history of the Dark Souls because of its broad properties. He uses weapons like a giant sword to cast dark magic on a player. It is best to have a good resistance against the darkness and also a good protection, because it depletes your health. If you beat him, you get the 3. Crown.

An interesting fact – After the defeat of Velstadt, Raime came to Broome Tower in search of more strength. He found it there, but it didn’t come from a royal father like King Wendrick, but from a new mother like Nashandra.

Conclusion

All the bosses of Dark Souls 2 have their own stories to tell in the legends of the Dark Souls franchise. Although Dark Souls 2 was my least favorite game in the series, I still enjoy the worlds and bosses. Dark Souls 2 has both light and hard patterns. For some people it might be harder, but that shouldn’t stop you from playing through them. What are you waiting for?
